Nightmare Conquest brings a new way of controlling a game

Touchscreens are a challenge for certain game types, which were born before we could swipe and tap our way trough games. We saw all kind of different methods already, but Nightmare Conquest tried a completely different way. You give directions to a sidescrolling character, and you have four knobs to use. The sequence you touch the knobs will relate to an action on the screen.

Four blue knobs will mean walk, where two blue and two red ones will make you sprint. Same goes for attacking and such, you will need to anticipate your actions while using certain sequences. A quick play session learned that this works quite ok, definitely  not something which we have seen before on Android. (please correct me in case I’m wrong).

Nightmare Conquest sports a grim and dark graphical style, which suits the goal of ruling all nightmares quite well. You can play the first six levels for free with the demo, the full game will feature 30 levels in total. You can download Nightmare Conquest via the Play Store.
