Critical Strike Portable available now, free to play!

Counter-Strike.  On your phone!  That should really be all you need to read to have you clicking the link to the Play Store, but I’ll expand for the sake of those who aren’t familiar.

Critical Strike Portable is a first person multiplayer shooter, developed to tickle your nostalgia for the PC classic Counter-Strike.  What’s more, it’s cross-platform compatible which means you can take it to those players on iOS and android devices.  For those who prefer to play offline, bots have been provided; so you can test your skill against the AI before taking to the mean streets of the online offering.  Offline mode also provides a couple of other game modes; including the invariable clash with zombies in a survival mode.

The game has been lovingly crafted to replicate the gaming experience of Counter-Strike, with skins, sounds, and even some maps taking their lead from the original online shooter; though for the record this is not an official Counter-Strike port.

To top it all off the game is free, with no micro-transactions in sight.  If you enjoy your first person shooters, challenging online opponents, tearing down zombies, or indeed if you recall all those lost hours in Counter-Strike and fancy a trip down memory lane; you’ve got to check this game out.

Here’s a list of highlights:

- Cross Platform (local/online) between iOS and Android
- Single Player mode Vs Bots
- Customizable controls
- Various game types (zombie survival, team death match, etc)
- Free to play!

Applorer huh. Or… I guess you could read this site, see what’s cool, and then run off to the play store? :-)

applorer can be useful on the go! and i think both can complement each other :) your site definitely has much more detailed reviews of games while applorer just recommends titles to play. but you can check it out from time to time for games to review too :D

i haven’t really played online FPS games with friends before, but this is a pretty fun game! thanks for reviewing and recommending! i found this game via an app called Applorer as well. It’s really useful! it recommends the best free games on Google Play and saves a lot of time ‘cos you don’t have to trawl through loads of random apps to find what you want to play. Try it here too:
